PICU
The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit provides highly specialized care to critically ill children. There is the availability of the latest monitoring gadgets, ventilators, and skilled staff to provide the best possible care to these sick patients.
From the patient’s perspective, every child who is brought to PICU is under a very dire and stressful situation. Starlets hospital provides state of art PICU Facilities with all advanced facilities and highly skilled nursing staff. Faculties like multipara monitor with ECG, IBP, BIBP, Respiratory rate, Heart rate, SPO2, and ETCO2 monitoring, Pulse oximeter, a defibrillator for cardiac arrhythmia and resuscitation, infusion pump, syringe pump, crash cart to handle and manage critically ill children.
PHOTOTHERAPY
Phototherapy is a type of medical treatment that involves exposure to fluorescent light bulbs or other sources of light like halogen lights, sunlight, and light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to treat certain medical conditions
Devices used to treat hyperbilirubinemia, characterized by high bilirubin concentrations in the blood. Bilirubin, a product of hemoglobin breakdown, remains in the body until the liver can convert it to a form that can be excreted. Jaundice, a yellowish discoloration of the skin, eyes, and mucous membranes result when bilirubin levels in the blood are too high. High bilirubin levels can be caused by the inability of an immature liver to process high levels of bilirubin, particularly in neonates.
